Many people are blaming Giggs for what happened yesterday. Is it fair?

Fact is Louisa, the ref walked away, the ball was then in play. Giggs spoke to the referee, and unless the implementation of the 10 yard rule was asked for, it's perfectly legal. Had it have been Ronaldinho, Gerrard, Lampard or a number of others it would be lauded as quick thinking and genius on their part. But it was a Man U player, hence a lot of the fuss. Some may see it as unsporting but it is legal and has been done by many before Giggs.

The ref gave him the go-ahead without a whistle. I wouldve beat the hell out of the referee after the match if I were a Lille fan.
