If you look at babies and little kids their so happy, what do you think stops people from achieving and maintaining happiness as you get older?

Situations in life for the most part make people unhappy. Some can be changed others cannot.

cuz u actually realize what is happening in the world or in ur life cuz when ur little what u kno is very limmited and u dont kno any actions but when ur older u have consequences and everything else that could go wrong to u then u become sad.....hope it helps

money and materialistic things ...

generally.. the more you have that is not necessary.. the less happy you will be. .. such as.. plasma tvs.. expensive cars or 2 .. or 3 .. large homes with too many bed rooms.

we're starting to forget what life is about ..

Unreasonable expectations. They are different from dreams - one sets one's self up to be disappointed if they don't happen. Dreams are always there - some come true, some you make happen, some never materialize, but they are still dreams and not expectations.

Dysthymia. Some of us weren't happy even as small children.

Mostly themselves. We are the biggest obstacle to our own happiness.

You can be happy in prison if you so choose. Thankfully I'm not, but I choose to be happy.

Kids don't take themselves seriously and are happy to experience the world.

Happiness is a state of mind at that moment.


People should be strive to be content with what they HAVE, not complain about what they don't have!

Ignorance
Fear
Believing one is not in control of their own destiny
Not knowing who they really are
Not being appreciative
Attached to worldly possessions and "thoughts"

Themselves.. and worrying about things that don't really matter in the end. Demanding perfection....judging others and themselves too harshly... money issues, responsibilities....
