How many times has 007 been saved by luck (freed by woman from machine or a gun not go off) vs getting out of the situation using his clever wits (disguised as a clown or had a little device he could use to cut metal)?
If you can do a tally BY TITLE Luck vs Wit that is great!

The 007 in the books is a lot wittier than the one in the movies. The movie 007 just cracked deadpan jokes and used what ever was provided for him by Q-- which JUST HAPPENED to be wha the needed to get out of the deathtrap in that movie!

Also, in the books, sometimes he had to endure the tortures and survive by brute strength and determination, So that is something you have forgotten in your list.

The books are much better than the movies.

Well, if you're going by the nonsense of movies then it all comes down to the point of the Good guys always win.

Yeah, I know. It's an incredibly stupid reason that makes me roll my eyes whenever they pull something really ridiculous in movies that make absolutely no sense whatsoever, but everybody in the audience goes "YAY!"
