I think a really good song for you to sing with some mix ranges and very real christian message would be "Alive" by Rebecca St. James from album "If I Had One Chance to Tell You Something". It's upbeat and has a downbeat that gives particular emphasis to words of the song. The judges wouldn't know what hit them when sing this song. You have to hear it.

I like 'Dreamer' by Bethany Dillon and it was in the movie Dreamer with Dakota Fanning.
Also Stephen Curtis Chapman has some great songs on his Speechless album.
Newsboys new album 'Go' is really good too but those songs could be quite difficult.

Why don't you look in the hymnal at Church. There are many of them in there. There are songs that were once on the "Hit Parade" such as "HE" & "There Is No Secret(what GOD can do)". Absolutely beautiful. What about "How Great Thou Art", that is another beautiful one. There are just too many to name them all. Good Luck in the talent show.

I highly recommend "My Savior" by Krystle Meyers. Or else "Anticonformity" or really anything by Krystle Meyers. If you don't know these songs and would like to hear them, email me and I can send them to you via AIM or YIM if you would like.
Or, if your familiar with the group Zoegirl, you might consider doing their song "little did i know". it has an excellent message, and certainly a wide range of pitches.
