Why do you think(especially for women) that it's so trendy to be bisexual these days? And do those of those of you who have indentified as bisexual since your teenage years or have struggled with your indentity as a bisexual find it a difficult and anoying label, considering all the hype and conotations that come with it?
Or do you think that's good for visibility?

You're absolutely right, being bi these days is totally the new big IN, especially in high school. I think it's just that since homosexuality is becoming more and more of a controversial subject, and people like the idea of being different, I guess being able to make it with both sexes makes you different, which makes you "cool" or whatever. Plus, it's all gotta do with old style rebellion against parents, the norm, and whatever else. The parents dont like homosexuality, so in a way to be opposite their parents, they become bi, so they can still like the opposite sex, but at the same time, the can claim that they are capable of liking the same sex.
Honestly, it pisses me off. I mean, I have no problem with honest to god bisexuals, but for the people that are just posing as bi for attention ... they really need to get a life. I'm gay because of my attraction to guys, not because of the popularity it gets me. Thats how it should be, and I hate how people use homosexuality as a tool. Grr.
Okay, enough angry ranting, I guess I answered the question now. Loves,

I'm bisexual, but I've never thought it was trendy. I've known since I was around 11 years old. I just realized it one day and shrugged. It was no big deal to me.

I couldn't care less about the hype or any thing else. I'm the way I am and nothing, not even myself, can change that. Also, I've never really been into labels.

I've noticed this. I used to be one of the few bisexuals I knew and the only one who was willing to be open, now all the ones I've known have become open and I'm noticing more around here all the time.

I personally am annoyed by what everyone implies about me when they learn my sexuality. I have no diseases, I don't sleep around, and I'm monogamous. Having to explain this to people who I once trusted, no fun.

Because it seems so natural to see women exploring each other than two men. I would pay to watch two beautiful women explore each other over two men any day!

My dear, God is not interested in popularity contests, and neither should you.
