As I understand it the idea that it might be a sin comes from the old testament story "Onan spilled his seed upon the ground".. He I believe was supposed to be trying to get his brothers widow pregnent. This is an old testament Jewish thing.

Jesus and the apostles approved of an organisation to help organise the early Christians, but never gave it a mandate to proscribe right and wrong. The church as we know it today is in exactly the place that the Jewish church was when Jesus kicked the money changers out of the temple.

NO in order for it to be a sin it must be mentioned in the bible. Masturbation of self is not mentioned in either old or new testament. Sooooooooooo it is not a sin. However, a lot of religious leaders who should know better have lied to you about it.

Well it depends on your religion. Im a christian and I do that too, but Im trying to quit cus i dont feel comftorble doing it to porn. See it depends on HOW you do it. I tihnk its not a sin cus Do you REALLY expect to wait to you get MARRIED to have your first time? Dude, as men, WERE NOT GONA MAKE IT THAT LONG HOLDING IT IN!!!!!!!!! and you KNOW it, thats considered adultry, cus even if your not doing it WITH her, you still "doing" her in your thoughts and she has a BF already.But if you dont know, i think its ok. Avoid porn, cus you NEVER now whos with someone and whos not. I think porn is the Devils trap. Im getting the **** out NOW. Anyways. Masterbation not a sin as long as 1. You do it in your head. 2. DONT use porn, do wat i do now (If you do it with porn already) look at bikini babes! XD just make sure of this, You CANNOT see any of their Nipples / Vagina. Thats technically porn. ok? so dont worry bout it. Just use your head (LOL) or look at bikini chicks if ur already using porn. Trust me. Ive been trying to find SOOOOOO many ways to quit.
