I have Kearns. My outfield is already stacked w/ Soriano, Swisher, Dye. I have Griffey on the bench also. I looking for speed.

I would think Baldelli has a little more potential, especially in the stolen bases department, he's just never been able to stay healthy.

I think average wise, Baldelli has the edge.
Power wise, maybe slightly in favor of Kearns, although I think the ballpark he plays in negates some of that.
speed wise, Baldelli has the edge.
Run production (R's and RBI) I would think Baldelli might have the edge as Tampa has some pretty good hitters around him and Kearns is stuck in a horrible ballpark for hitters.

I would do this trade, although if Baldelli gets hurt again, you might be done.

If you can trade Kearns for Baldelli it would be a great deal for you. Baldelli is recovered from various injuries and has near superstar potential while Kearns is strictly a power source who wont likely hit for a high average. Baldelli will hit .300 fairly easily and has 20- 25 HR potential to go with 15-20 SB. Kearns also plays in a tough power hitter park and doesnt have Soriano around and other than Zimmerman the other teams could easily pitch around his power. Baldelli is a solid source of speed, Kearns wont swipe any bases. Bottom line...if the deal is available to you make it, the potential for this to be a one sided deal in your favor is excellent and he likely will be a regular in your lineup. He has better potential than Swisher or Griffey.

if you have kearns and the trade has been offered, i would accept it. if the other dude will accept it, then you should do that. baldelli was hurt last year but when healthy is a very good player. kearns has pop in his bat but he is a health risk too. it looks like your outfield has plenty of power so why not make the trade? go for it man.

No! Baldelli is good for steals keep him unless you can get something else better than an outfield.

Baldelli has speed and he will produce stolen bases. also he has power and he will produce home runs. he hits alot so you could predict his average will be in the high .290's
