Well, the doctor called and the paternity test came out that I was the father. Me and my girl are getting married next Saturday. Does anybody have any ideas on what to do with my 1 week old son? Like if we should hold him, her parents should hold him? How he should dress...etc...

you should have your bride walk him down the aisle.. then have her dad kiss her and him to give them away. then when they say you may kiss the bride you guys shuld kiss and then both kiss the baby;s cheek. just make sure the baby isnt crying and have msomeone watch him at the reception

Are you getting married because you love each other and would have gotten married anyway. Or are you only getting married because of the baby? The wedding should be about you and "your girl," since you two will be together always but eventually your son will move out. Yes, your son should be there but he shouldn't be the main part of the wedding. You should not hold him during the ceremony. I would have someone else hold him. How he should dress depends on how everyone else who will be in the wedding is dressing. If you are having groomsmen who will wear tuxes then he should wear a tux, otherwise a cute little suit or just a nice outfit would be fine.

You should have in be involved in the wedding for sure. I saw a wedding once where the son was pulled up the aisle in a beautiful carriage. Or you could have him walk down the aisle with the flower girl and throw flowers. Something like that would be cute.

Don't hold him, if he needs something you'll have to stop the ceremony. Have someone who won't mind possibly missing the wedding (not his grandparents) take care of him during the ceremony. Also, you are most likely not going to find a tux that will fit him.

You shouldn't get married if you feel forced to. You said you and your girl had a paternity test done and it turned out you were the dad. It's kinda sad if you're still young, as you will miss out on alot...I think. Anyway, just good luck with this and I"m glad that I'm not in your mess....no offense.

I am thinking that you are talking about what baby should wear and who should hold baby during the wedding ceremony? He should wear something nice a cute and it is not your babies wedding, it is your and hers so maybe a grandparent of the baby should hold the baby.

The grandparents could hold him and buy him a nice white baby outfit to wear...ask the minister if your baby can be made a part of the ceremony...there are different things you can do to have the baby included in your ceremony...to make your day extra special...

1 week old? Chances are he'll sleep through the whole thing in his pram/car seat, but have his grandparents on stand-by just in case.

You can get cute little suits from baby shops, but if you don't want to buy one, you can probably hire something for the day somewhere.
