I'm the kind of person who enjoys many types of music, (excluding a few), but I see people today associate with only a few main types. So I was wondering if anybody can still enjoy a good classical piece, and admit it

Yes! I agree, classical music seems to be a much smaller niche music market these days. But I love classical music and think more people should listen to it.

I enjoy learning classical music on guitar, too. The more complex, the better. Classical music is meant to be rewarding, although challenging, in listening to it and learning how it works.

And it's usually all I listen to in the car while driving, since it's more relaxing than tearing out my rear-view mirror and throwing it at other idiot drivers.

I don't really need to hear Interchangeable Alternative Band #47 to know what's going on in the rest of the music world, too. Most alternative and popular music sounds flat, uninspired, and redundant.

ABSOLUTELY...and I made a SPECIFIC point point of visiting Mozart's birthplace in Salzburg when I visited Austria years ago. I am sorry I was unable to return there for the festivities of the 250th anniversary of his birth last year because I am sure the concerts were sublime.

Not only do I have numerous discs of all the staples in my collection; Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert, Tchaikovsky but also many of those who are less familiar such as Telemann, the sons of JS Bach Hummel, Scarlatti, Corelli, Ditters von Dittersdorf to name few.

There are PLENTY of people who love classical music. There just isn't a lot of media-hype surrounding it.

I love classical music because there is a certain elegance and intricacy about it. The craftsmanship and attention to detail like just about everything about the periods; the architecture, furniture, clothing, paintings, sculptures, jewelry, etc. They may not have had the technology and conveniences we do today but the artisans were VASTLY superior to ANYBODY out there now.

Yes I love classical music. It may not be baroque or gregorian, but I enjoy Vivaldi and Pachel a lot. I also like current classical music like Nobou Uematsu from the Final Fantasy video games. I think there is a lot to enjoy, and a lot more musicality than current popular music has.

I also appreciate classical music and Opera. I did not get into classical until I became involved in band in middle school. It's good music to study to or fall asleep to. I occasionally attended Opera and classical concerts. You can "get lost" in it, and it becomes a non distracting background. People always think classical sucks, but that's only because they only heard crappy songs.

I can't say I own any classical music. I usually enjoy it when I hear it though. I do, however, have a penchant for jazz. I've got a bunch of stuff like Glenn Miller and Nat King Cole in my collection. Most of my friends don't get my taste in music, I regret.

I hope that the people who attend my concerts on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons enjoy listening to classical music since that is what I perform.

I enjoy Classical Music. Rachmaninov, Mussorgski, Beethoven, Debussy and Tchiakovski mainly. My parther listens to Orff's Carmina Burana too much and I really hate it now, the Omen Music.
