I LEFT SCHOOL IN 76 SO THE CANE AND SLIPPER WAS STILL USED THEN.
1 TEACHER USED 2 SLIPPER THE GIRL OR BOY IN FRONT OF THE CLASS AND I SEE MANY GET THEIR BUTT'S SLIPPERED AND TRYIN NOT 2 CRY AS THEY WENT BACK TO THEIR SEATS N TRYIN TO SIT WITHOUT SHOWING THE PAIN
ANOTHER TEACHER ALLWAYS CARRED A SLIPPER N IF HE SEE U RUNNING IN THE HALL HE WOULD SHOUT 4 U 2 COME HERE N TOLD U 2 BEND OVER N SLIPPERED U RYT THERE N THEN.
KIDS THEM DAYS WAS SO MUCH BETTER BEHAVED AND THE TEACHERS HAD RESPECT NOT LIKE NOWADAYS.
MY MUM GAVE MY HEAD PERMISHION 2 CANE ME IN FRONT OF CLASS BARE BUTT N THANKFULLY IT NEVER HAPENED.
I COME VERY CLOSE 2 GETTING SLIPPERED ONCE 4 SMOKING BUT HEAD LET ME OFF COZ I SAID SORRY AND WOULDNT DO IT AGAIN. HE SAID U BETTER NOT OR U KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN

We had the cane at my school in England back in the seventies. Boys got it their behind and girls on the hand. Thankfully I was never caned, but my best friend was and I can still remember her tearfully showing me the marks on her hands afterwards.

I went to school in 70s, early 80s in UK and got my fair share of Corporal Punishment.
Primary School - up to 7 years - remember being smacked on the back of te legs, and being given ruler on the back of the legs.
Middle School (private one and very strict) - most teachers used some kind of Corporal Punishment, some more than others. Slippered in front of the class a couple of times by female English Teacher, Slippered in private by female music teacher. Slippered in private on the bare by male sports teacher with gym shoe.
Secondary School - used the cane - i never got it. Only the headmaster gave Corporal Punishment. Usual punishment was detentions.

They had corporal punishment when I was at school - this was in the 1970s. At junior school it was the cane for boys and the slipper for girls. At secondary school (which was a boys only school) it was the usually the cane - three whacks across the bum. It was only used for serious offences. I managed to avoid the cane but got the slipper once but I only got one light whack across the bum & it didn't really hurt. The PE teacher was fed up with how long we took to get changed so he said the last person out of the changing room would get the slipper. I was last but I guess he didn't really want to slipper me !

Nope i never got slippered at school. I think when teachers do that back in the day are just mean and it just doesnt make sense. Well here at our school if u do get in trouble, they either take u to a detention, or call ur parents, and if it continues then u would have to stay in the same grade, or something like that but never hurting them physically...

Yes, I got both. The slipper once at primary school and the cane on the hand, on two occasions at secondary school. The slipper stung a bit. But the cane really hurt.

a tool of correction used on the naked behind, is embarresing, and it does sting.
It does get a point across, if used properly.
How ever there those who go bezerk and over do punishments andthat causes bleeding hearts to butt in on a use full tool, and creat more problems.

well teachers shouldn't have done that. i am glad these days you just have to go to the principle of your school. of course my pirinciple is really nice and funny he is a principle/teacher/field trip guide/really cool dude. he lets you off the hook if you promise him if you dont do it again. teachers that hit kids back in those days are just plane stupid.

WHAT THE..? WHAT SCHOOL R U GOING TO THE DOES THIS? I WOULD THROW A BOOK AT A TEACHER IF THEY TRY TO DO THAT! WHAT THEY R DOING TO THE STUDENTS IS TOTAL PHYSICAL TORTURE! TRUST ME ON THIS ONE, I PREFER TO BE TORTURED WITH TESTS THAN GETTING WHACKED!
