ok the the first thing i would do is check to see if the card is installed correctly, you can do this by right clicking My Computer icon on your desktop, from the menu, select properties, now you should see the system properties box, Select the hardware tap, then click the button that says, "Device Manager" this will open the manager.
Scroll down untill you see "Network adapters" its close to the bottom of the list click the + find the wireless card, right click & open the properties, & look for Device Status, If it works it should say This device is working properly.
The Good Stuff.
Now To Set Up The Connection.
Click Start, Control Panel, Network Connections, Find The Network Card, Mine Says "Wireless Network Connection"
From There, You Right Click, View Available Wireless Networks, Select Your Network, Click Connect,
This Is For XP, It Will Be Slightly Different On Other OS
If you don't get anything in your available networks or it says windows isn't in control of your wireless settings, right click your wireless card click properties, then click the Wireless Networks tab, then put a check in the Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings...
hope that helps
