I have " excessive persperation " as some would call it. See, I'm only 13 years old and I'm wondering if this is hormones acting up or if I'm in for this for a while. It's been going on for about 10 months. What's a way I can prevent this? THANKS :]

I had the same problem. Your sweat glands are producing more sweat than necessary. If you're talking about your underams, use Certain Dri (found pretty much everywhere). You apply it nightly (it isn't a deodorant), then add your deodorant as usual. It will take a few days to work, but be patient and it will improve. After a while, I found I didn't need it anymore!

PS-Sometimes even a product like Certain Dri won't work for you. If you find this is the case, see the doctor! He can prescribe a pill or a more potent cream that will get the job done! <3

Have you talked with your Mom about this? You should let the Dr. know about this, if indeed it is excessive it could be a medical condition (they even have prescription antiperspirant/deodorant for people with this problem), it may not be as bad as you think (we always judge ourselves harder then others). Hang in there!

Have you tried some stonger deo? I had the same problem and started using secret platnium. It helped with the sweating and smell. If it happens from your hands and feet, you can also put deo there. I read that in a magazine :)

Excess perspiration is called hyperhydrosis. If you have it real bad and antiperspirants don't help even on your hands then see your doc about it.

It might be, but please, to be sure, ask your parent(s) to make an appt. with your dr. asap to get checked over, and find out how to handle it if it is hormones, and if it is something else, get it taken care of. Take care.
