ok this girl told this dude I liked him, & I do, to a exstent. I think he's cute and sweet some times, but I don't really think theres that much there, ya know. So now since that little ***** said that he avoids me like the plague! now idk he was a cool friend, but we share friends and its Really Award!!! I just dont know what to do! he acts like I'm chasing after him, & I'd do no such thing! you could bet your life on it. so I guess the Question is how do I stop this girl from spreading such gossip, and cope w/ the dude being stupid & thinkin I want him and stuff?

u should be the mature one and not like do anything 2 the other girl and u should tell the guy urself that u dont like him and that the girl was lying, cause if u dont something she might just be doing it 2 get a reaction or get other people attentions maybe no one likes her who knows but i hope this helped

maybe just make time to talk to the guy and if he plays the ignorance game, well then maybe just let him figure it out..
you need not stress yourself about the things that hold no meaning and if he's a person with a clue of the world then he'll figure that the gossip source is just as it suggests, a gossip! if there is an incling of you maybe wanting something more and he just tries to avoid this, maybe he's not looking for a relationship or he's gay!
i say just take time out and try to sort it. maybe just have an after work drink get together and extend an invite to a few work mates and some close friend and maybe his particular person. see if he turns up?????!!!!!!!

Well it depends on what you are going for. If u just ignore him and never bring it up to him or any one eventually he will come after you that is if he is attracted to you at all. If you dont want any thing to do with him just continue to ignore him and this doesnt mean to be meen to him just say as little as possible to him. this will send him the signal that you are not interested in him and he will drop it. Think about it , what is gossip which is people talking about somthing that was told to them or they heard, so if ure never saying any thing than what would they talk about on that subject in concerns to you. I know sometimes the hardest thing for us to do is to not explain somthing or justify somthing. Just ZIP IT.

Unfortunately, there are people like this out there. You must learn to deal with them appropriately. Don't go and punch her face in (as much as you'd probably like to), but talk to her nicely and ask her why she said that. If all goes well, then she will repent, and maybe even tell this guy what she did. And as for the guy- talk to him and explain, "I like you, but I don't love you. I enjoy being your friend, but it's not like this girl told you." (Not necessarily in those words- phrase it as you see appropriate.) If he still doesn't want to be your friend again, then don't worry- he doesn't sound like somebody I would want as a friend anyways.
So confront these people, and try to get things sorted out. It'll bug you for a while if you don't.

Confront the girl. Tell her what you think happened and ask her to explain her side. Then tell her how you feel and ask her not to do it again.
As for the guy, ignore him for now. If he really considers you to be a friend then he'll be the one to seek you out.

First of all, do not worry about him go right for the tramp ask her why she's doing that or did it? Get a mini recorder to!! That way he can hear it from her! Sounds to me like she's liking him and causing grief for you to push him away. I can't stand insecure people who play games...UGH UGH AND UGH!

FOR ME I WOULD TELL HIM THAT SHE IS THE ONE WHO LIKES HIM, BECAUSE SHE PROBABLY DOES BUT WON'T ADMIT IT. OR JUST TELL HIM OUTRIGHT THAT SHE MADE THAT UP AND YOU DON'T LIKE HIM THAT WAY. AND TELL YOUR FRIEND THAT YOU DON'T APPRECIATE WHAT SHE DID.
