I'm afraid there is no predictor or any other clue of when you're going to get your first period. It certainly sounds like you are hitting that bit of puberty, but one day it'll just happen!
You don't need to be telling your teachers anything. All you need to take to school will be enough pads/tampons for the school day, plus a couple of spares just in case. The only teacher you may have to tell would be a swimming teacher. If you're not going to use tampons then obviously you won't be going swimming. But it doesn't preclude you from anything else, including sports! Unless you happen to be one of those unfortunate people that suffers very badly from either PMT mood swings, or severe pain, then there is no reason why anyone at school would need to know.
Don't forget this is going to happen every month for about the next 40 years so you may as well get used to it now!

ok well ALWAYS have a supply of pads or tampons (tampons are easier and no you dont really get deseases DO NOT be afraid to use them they r wonderful) and how to tell when you are getting it may be cramps (if you exercise regularly they arent so bad) and you feel like there is a liquid constantly coming out and you feel almost like you have no choice but to push it out gently ssometimes
there really is no way to tell when youre first period will come but dont be worried
and try to tell as few people as possible except for your mom
teachers dont like to hear about it
go to the nurse
they will understand better

i was really worried about getting my first TOM too, but when it happened, it was no big deal.

Just carry some pads with you. It may make you feel better to wear a minipad everyday.

I wouldn't recommend tampons right away. Get the hang of things first.

Honey I know it's hard to just sit and wait for it to happen, but that's just how it works! Make sure to ask your mom to buy you some pads at the store the next time she goes just so you'll have something when it does start! Good luck!!
