I want to get the biggest tire i can handle without a lift job on my 15in rims. The truck is a 1999 Ford Ranger 4WD with side step and fender flares.

On the passenger door or pillar you will find a sticker with the recommended tire sizes. The first set at the top is the standard tires that came with the truck, Below is the optional tire size. This is the largest tire you can use without compromising stability, traction and steering and body clearance.

i had a 98 ranger 4wd one time and ran the stock 16's with 265 tires. I did have a 3 inch body lift on it though.

Well go to a tire shop and they can measure you wheels and tell you how big of tires you can put on it before having to put lifts on it. So go ask a salesman and he can tell you.

31's or 33's check with a tire shop.

Why buy tires? It's a FORD. It's just gonna break down anyways. : )
