I have a friend who is one here in Vegas, she worked by the pool @ Mandalay bay & made 100k last summer. If you are new here they won't start you put there but on the late/early shift or at a lesser casino.

I haven't worked as a server, but a friend of mine is a bartender in Vegas. She makes VERY good money, and doesn't work in a big casino either. If you are new to las vegas you will need to have at least a years working experience in the city before you can get into a casino. Also it's a lot harder than you think, you generally have to know someone. Hope this helps.
