if it is in your homework I am willing to bet if you bother to open your textbook and read the chapter yourself that you just might find the answer AND will be increasing your knowledge at the same time.

It depends on wether you are a Muslim or not. If you are, then it was not founded, but rather a revalation shown to Adam at the start of time, like how the first man knew about God in Christianity. If not, it was probably an idea created by Muhammed, but he could not read or write, and in Arabia, which was a very creative society, the verses were considered incredible by the best poets of that time. In that way, it seems incredibly odd that he was able to create such poetry.

Muhammed founded the Islam religion in the 7th century.
Malcom X was an African-American political leader, and Jesus was in theory the son of god which we base Christianity from. This is not a quesion worthy of our time, but since you are young, I will forgive you this time. Read things for yourself from now on.

The Holy Quran at no point says that Islam is 'founded' by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). according to our belief, its not one person who found Islam. Prophet Muhammad is the one who finalised it. there were a million prophets before him who tried their best to forward the real message of Islam but the followers didnt allow them to. It happened with Prophet Jesus (PBUH) who was crucified by the Jews. The jews didnt listen to the whole message of Prophet Moses (PBUH). Allah says in Quran that 'Today i have finalised the religion of Islam for you'. the word 'finalised' is enough to understand the concept.
We as Muslims, welcome u to study the real Islam and come out of darkness and step into forever enlightenment.
