Two weeks ago I found out I was pregnant then last week I woke up with cramps and blood clots. I bled for about five days but only had cramping on that one morning. I didnt see any tissue so I'm not sure if I miscarried. I am still having positive test but that could happen even if I miscarried.Any advice or opinion would help

I just got home from vacation so I havent seen a Doctor and I dont have one right now. I thought I had a miscarriage back in 2004 and went to planned parent hood they told me I was still pregnant. It's almost the same as last time so I dont think I miscarried. Also I have done some research online and from what I have read women have passed blood clots, had heavy bleeding and there was nothing wrong. They ended up having healthy babies. Although I still plan on going to the doctors not the ER because they charge you a arm and a leg lol. I will just have to find a doctor

If you've just found out you're pregnant, then you were probably pretty early. If you miscarry during the first few weeks of your pregnancy, you're not going to pass a whole lot of tissue.

Probably nothing to worry about. But If you have persistent bleeding, cramping, pain, or an odorous vaginal discharge, you might have some retained products of conception left in your uterus. If you experience any of those problems, go see an OB/GYN and get an ultrasound scan. You might need a D&C.

And for god's sake, DON'T go the emergency room. You're going to wait a lot longer, pay a lot more, and the staff are going to question your intelligence for going to an "emergency room" without an emergency.

Ok, this is weird...I found out I was pregnant two weeks ago too! Yesterday I had a miscarriage:( And this is what happened to me: Monday night I felt like I was about to start my period, I went to the bathroom and wiped and there was pink blood. I went to the ER and they took blood to do a beta blood test to determine hCG levels, they did an ultrasound, NO BABY or whatever was supposed to be there at that time. They checked my cervix which was still closed indicating that i was still preg. Yesterday morning I was lying in my bed and I had a shooting cramp go from one side to the other, when I went to the bathroom there was nickle size clumps of blood in the bottom of the toilet. I called the doctor and she said it was the beginning stages of a spontaneous miscarriage. She said within a day I should pass the sac. This morning I indeed passed the sac. She told me to come in tomorrow to test the level of hCG to make sure that is was saying negative.

If you indeed are having a miscarriage and you are still having a positive preg test, it just simply means that your hCG has not yet went back to normal level. I wish the best for you b/c what I am experiencing is not fun at all. Good Luck to you!!!

It sounds like you had a miscarriage, but when you started bleeding and passing clots did you contact your Dr.? As for a pregnancy test still coming out positive it is because you still have hcg (pregnancy hormone) in your system and it takes time to leave the system....I have heard of people bleeding during pregnancy but not passing clots..I would go to the Dr. asap and have this checked out. You should not have waited this long...Good Luck!

5 days is bad... c a doc. I think even if u miscarry test will still show postive as the hormones would still be present. Don't take my word tho, you need a doctor

Oh my god, you need to go to a Dr. Any kind of clots are bad. There doesn't have to be any tissue for it to be a miscarriage. This happened to me last August. PLease go to the Dr. If you didnt miscarry, there's something seriously wrong.

It is possible. The best thing for you to do is goto the hospital to find out for sure, if you've had a miscarriage and if you're truly pregnant. sometimes after having a miscarriage you can become more susceptible to infections so its best for your health and the baby to go get checked out.
