if you were elected mayor? Mayors cannot bulid theme parks or conduct a law for a vegtables to be prohibted. They can, however conduct meetings with city council and figure ways to better the town! What would you do?

Some mayors do have power to build or get theme parks built. Disney was going to build one in Phila, but it fell through. But as mayor I would attack education first. Most crime comes from a lack of hope brought about by poor education. Give people hope for a better life and they will respond. Give kids something to do afterschool, sports, arts, music, and they will shy from gangs. But if you continue to ignore education and undercut funding, you will spend more fighting crime, building prisions, on welfare, etc.

I would use the city's power of eminent domain to grab a nice chunk of the center of the city and have a "walk-way" constructed there.
I would design the walk-way with a stream that runs through it and gazebos where old folks can sit and reminisce about their youthful mistakes.
A city should not be a place where only offices and stores exist. It should also be a place where people can sit and look and enjoy moments of peace and quiet.

The honest truth is that I'd pick my nose, talk big, rake in dishonest money, sleep with lottsa chicks, lie, cheat, and steal. I wouldn't even think of doing things to "better the town." Isn't that a bit closer to the way the world works?

I would insist that everyone listen to "Franklin's Speech at the Convention" at least once, and then insist on us all acting as if we are neighbors and really do live in the same city, rather than acting like whiny children if we don't get our own way. People who build concensus would be supported. People who get into fights would be called out like the children they are.
