China is going to get stronger and stronger. War seems inevitable, sooner or later. Let's do it now while we still have a big advantage.

No, I don't think it will come to that, but you never know. If they attack Taiwan however we are obligated to defend that Isle.

For the foolish people who think China is a step ahead of us technologically?? I don't know where you got that. Lol, anyways you people need to realize just because you have a huge population and army that you will win a war. History is full of examples, Britain conquering India(not the best example because India was not unified)
the European powers dominating China, Japan conquered half of China before we intervened, Frederick the Great defeated all of Europe, Napoleon conquered Europe. China is not very unified and is only held together by an oppressive government, who squelches out all opposition, it would have been toppled in 1989, but their military was loyal, Tibet is in constant rebellion, not to mention Sinkiang. Their army is mostly untrained conscripts, while the U.S. army is the most technologically equipped army in the world, and professionally trained, however we would need a draft in the event of a war with China. In a conventional war we would thump the Chinese army, however that would lead to Nuclear war, and that isn't good. We probably could not occupy China, but I think the government in Taipei would take care of that.
The best way of dealing with them is encouraging democracy and making them an ally of ours. Hopefully the current government will be removed and the dream of democracy in China will be realized.

China is only as strong as its allies and trading partners. It makes no sense for them to launch any attack, and the U.S. is under the same functional international and economic nature as China.

You perceive that just because a country achieves global economic superiority that automatically it should attack its consumer base. That is very unlikely and not very smart. The Chinese did not achieve this accomplishment by ignorance.

Did you mean North Korea??

God no, China is our "frenemy" as Stephen Colbert said. Yes they are strong economically, and yes they have a large Military. But the US could take on China, maybe not easily; but they could. If worse came to worse, America wouldnt go down w/o a fight, theres a reason the US has a Nuclear Arsenal of 6,000 some odd Nuclear Weapons. (If one can take out 200,000 people in an unpopulated city in Japan, think of what just 10-20 could do to China's 10-20 top populated Citys? That would wipe out AT LEAST half of there population...ie at least half a billion)

Great idea! And India too, and Brazil, and Russia, and any other country with a large population and a larger birthrate than the US.

...please, swear solemnly that you will never become a politician. Do something else, become a doctor, or a car salesman :) I got nothing against you, it's just for the sake of mankind, you know.

NO! Lets worry about that in the future. As of right now, they pose NO threat. The country is in to much turmoil to truely grow right now.

Yes, they have a giant population, and are great and producing products. BUT they are overpopulated and under-developed. Some day they will be strong... SOMEDAY, not now...

Plus, if you were watching the news, attacking them would be a bad move politically...

America's pet chimp Bush can't even win his own cake-walk in Iraq and its 28 million people.

We'd better wait until we have a REAL president before we even consider attacking China and its billion citizens.

you can lead the invasion, I doubt that you will find many volounteers to take on an army of a couple million, and if China has a draft, remember that there are over a billion people in China.

If you want to get your **** kicked. What "big advantage" do you have? China has nukes so it isn't that. They have a larger military and population so it isn't that.

I can only hope that your post is very tongue-in-cheek. Because someone who would say this and actually mean it would have to be too stupid for words.
