no, but the women around the bases are much easier to deal with...so its their fault (the women) that is!

No. At least no more prone than anyone else. I have been a military man and knew many other military men. Most are men of character who would never cheat on their wives simply out of opportunity or the fact that their wives would never find out.

There is nothing about military service that makes a man (or woman for that matter), more likely to cheat than anyone else.

Anyone who has a job that may keep them away from their partner for extended periods of time, is typically going to be faced with the temptation more than someone who's home most of the time.

I remember my mother taking a "don't ask/don't tell" attitude toward my father when he'd be sent on a remote tour overseas and didn't see her/us for at least a year. She assumed that being male, he would cheat since he was away from his wife for a year, but she just didn't want to hear about it.

Re: people in the military, I'm sure plenty of cheating goes on by the women as well...there just aren't as many women as men in the service so the numbers will be skewed against the guys whether they actually cheat more or not.

I live in between two Naval bases, an Air Firce base, and an Army base. Believe me, I've heard it all. I do think that some are just looking to cheat, because thier woman wil never find out and there are so many women. But there are men who, even when a really hot woman tries to seduce them, he refuses because he loves and respects his partner, no matter how far apart they are, and even though she would never find out. it depends on the man, and how much of a real man he is. Just think, if you had to go without for months on end, and all of your friends were going to a male strip club, even if you had never considered cheating, and it was right there for the taking, would you? You might, and you might lie about it afterwards. Some men jion the military for that purpose only, to go to every port and be with as many women as they can. Since men can't get pregnant, it's hard to tell if they are lying.

I don't believe a man is prone to cheating just because he is or isnt in the Military, or any other profession for that matter.

I think men without integrity, without honesty and with arrogance and are the ones prone to cheating.

Believe it or not I haven't known many men who were in the military but the ones that I have known were the most honest men and I can't imagine them cheating on anyone.

My husband is career Army Ranger and I swear I have heard it all and seen it all and there are many men who are players, but the majority of the married men in stable relationships don't cheat. Many of them pride themselves for not cheating. Some of them don't cheat out of fear of it ruining their career.
I have honestly known many more wives who cheat and betray their military husband then I do military men.

No. My hubby's military... And I wish you women would quit with this stereotype! It's absolutely ridiculous. It's probably because most women end up b*tching about how their man is gone all the time and blah blah blah and eventually drive their husbands up the wall, so they do cheat just to end the nagging! Cheating is never justified, but I think the other spouse has a lot to do with it...

Military men go on many TDY's (temporary duty assignmants) and they have a saying What goes TDY stays TDY, and I work with military men everyday and believe me when I tell you this. What happens while away at TDY's isn't said again by anyone. So yes it happens all the time.

I have a boatload of friends serving over in iraq, and some who did and are back in the states. The ones who had bf/gf's or a spouse...some of them DID cheat, which i know for a fact(they did this while overseas). I would trust a loved one if they served overseas, but anything is possible. I couldn't stand how my army friend said he was with a few different girls in iraq, though his gf sat patiently waiting back home. it's aggravating!
