No, you shouldn't. Animals sometimes get upset when people do things they don't understand. Perhaps you should explain it to her. Or you could just wait until tomorrow when things will be back to normal.

I don't know what you mean by getting ashes, but from what the others have said I'm guessing it's a religious thing. Your dogs behavior sounds like he was scared of you in some way. Did you look different when you came home?

This is a terrible sign. Your dog's spirit may be confused about good and evil. keep coming home for the next few days with a mark on your forehead eg dark shade of lipstick in the shape of the cross and see how she reacts. This will provide you with some leeway in diagnosing the real reason. Let us all know how it goes.

No, but promise to take her to the next animal or pet blessing. I
went to a baby christening and when it was over and we went
outside of the church , all these people parisheners were outside
with their dogs and other pets for a blessing. They were wonderful and behaved , I hung around to watch, it was fun.

Yes. Maybe she was mad you didn't take her too. Or she didn't recognize you with the ashes.

No. She was trying to tell you to stay away from medieval religious dogma and should be praised and given a treat.
