I never went by water temperature, I just used the inside of my arm as a gauge. I also have a rubber duckie that says HOT on the bottom if it's too hot. But my book says 85-90 degress Fahrenheit. Good luck! :)

use you elbow to test the water as the elbow is very sensitive..The water is a nice temp when the water feels lukewarm. Make sure the air is warmed before you start the bath so baby doesn't get too chilled and absolutely scream during a time that should be relaxing for it...have fun...

To be safe get a bath thermometer. It will change color and let you know when the water is too hot or too cold.
Generally, you want water that is warm to the touch. However, as an adult you might be more tolerant of heat than an infant so err on the side of caution.

At Kmart there is a little Winnie the Pooh floating thing that only costs 2.99 that has a thing for cold, warm, or too hot...

i would just make sure its warm water! my cousin at her baby shower got a rubber-duckie the says if the waters too hot or too cold.

STICK YOUR WRIST IN THE WATER AND IF IT FEELS NUTURAL NOT TO HOT NOT TO COLD BUT JUST LUKE WARM THEN IT IS FINE.
