All humans came from Africa, right? That's the craddle of life of all man kind, right?

Then why do people get mad at me for wanting to show my heritage too? Just because my skin isn't as dark shouldn't mean anything.

first of all it backfires on you trying to be proud of your "heritage" you know darn well it has more to do with your skin color.... .. because there are WHITE people from africa and they can call themselves african americans. i dont consider it proud of your heritage. it is a way of self segregation. if a white south african went to a "african american" function. please dont tell me he wouldnt get lots of stares. you all like to use that to isolate yourselves. just as most of the functions blacks have are prefaced BY your skin color. yet you always cry discrimination. if i held a function and specifically named it. the White Dance. you would have jesse Race Whore Jackson and Al Sharpton all over us. but isnt it convenient that it doesnt work the other way.. we simply get sick and tired of it all. its old and boring..

UMM... are you black? If you are black, it does not necessarily mean that you came from Africa. No, not all humans came from there. If your heritage is African, I think it is fine to say that you are African Amercian. If you are white and want to be black, I am very sorry.. not going to happen!

I'd bet mostly dark skinned people get mad when you say that. Many whites were also born in Africa.

Ahhh, just accept the label you've been pinned on without complaining, like a good boy! Let's face it, you're probably a CAUCASIAN... no matter you've probably never been to Caucasus.
