They may be the biggest dealing team come the deadline. It makes good sense for them to trade Guerin, first of all the winning bidder for him will give up a pretty good package that may include NHL ready prospects and a 1st round draft pick. Tkachuk will go, he is a free agent at the end of the year and can get a prospect in return, they will get nothing if they keep him and he leaves. Weight is a possibility along with Eric Brewer (needs a fresh start...to much pressure on him replacing Pronger) and maybe even Manny Legace ( who could fetch a good player or 2 for a playoff team needing good playoff depth). It is good business to add peices that can make them that much better while clearing cap space... loads of prospects and extra money to sign a couple free agents can quickly make them a good club again.

I think They will make at least 1 move. They have to keep Guerin as hes the top scorer, Weights been doing well with the assists. Backes and Stempy have shown great promise as solid 2nd liners/ future 1st liners.Tkachuk has became very valuable as many of the top LWs have came off the market. For Guerin Blues would have to get a young 25+goal forward and at least a 2nd round pick or a Prongerisk type D-man to help in the development of Eric Johnson next season.

I will say both Brewer and Tkackuk will be likely to be moved. Tkachuk Has higher value right now and Brewer is unsighed, Many top d-men are free agents next year which makes Brewer a bit expendable despite his strong play. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 3way deal that puts Brewer back in Edmonton.
With Andy Murray the Blues are a few Free Agents signings and another good draft from being serious Stanley Cup Contenders in the next 1-5 years.

Right now the 2 big names that are possible trade candidates are Keith Tkachuk and Bill Guerin. There have been some packages offered but the RIGHT one hasn't come along yet according to coach Andy Murray. Apparently the Blues are asking for a prospect and a first round pick for Guerin and Tkachuk, who will be unrestricted free agents on July 1st. Hope this helps!

well Tkachuk has said he wants to sign with the blues again next year even if he is traded like wieght did last year. That will make it harder for the blues to get as much for him. Guerin on the other hand can bring them a good amount of picks and or prospects probably from the redwings. Yes they have prospects they draft great players out of nowhere like datsyuk at 171 and zetterberg at 210. Some prospects that might me dealt for guerin from the wings include Cory Emmerton and Shawn Matthias. They have the best scouts in the world working for them and they have NHL ready prospects that the blues could use. Plus they need a power forward and some of the wings young prospects might be to appealing for the blues to turn down since the blues ARE REBUILDING for the FUTURE Guerin would make the most sense

Bill Guerin, Keith Tkachuk or Doug Weight, possibly Manny Legace.

I heard something on the radio today about trading away Tkachuk and Bill Guerin by the end of the day...

You know what... the player who is playing the best for the St Louis Blues in the past 2 months is...
yet, no one seems to be talking about him...
I'm sure a few teams could use him....

Legace!

The others are seem to shots in the dark... good players without a lot of desire these days to be their best...

I guess, if I were a GM, and had to pick one of the players you speak of... I'd go with Weight! He was their last year, played very well, and makes other players around him more productive... the other two are simply finishers (goal scorers)... I just don't see goal scorers pick up their output all that much come playoff time... if they are not scoring now all that much, then I would not expect them to score all that much in the playoffs.
But put Weight, a gifted passer, on a team with talent already, and you might just see the lightenting in a bottle that teams are after!

Still, there has to be some playoff teams out there interested in Legace! He has played great lately! I traded him in my Fantasy pool and he's been on fire... it's good to see! I mean, that goalie was getting no bounces for that team for the first half of the season! His losses for me in the fantasy pool were not his fault, so I'm happy to see his success of late!
