We learned that our present administration was not doing a proper job of representing it's citizens.
Unfortunately, we have diminished the quality of life in the United States in 2006. We have accomplished nothing in education improvement, environment, health care for all age groups, election reform, transportation upgrades, security, raising up the middle class (which is the heart of the USA) and immigration problems.
I think that was important and our government has to do much better 2007.

I think the position against habeas corpus reversing 800 years of English common law going back to the Magna Carta . Also since this in in the constitution in two places, section 9 and also the fist amendment to the Bill of Rights, it is an important milestone in the development of the new world order.

At least in the United States, I think the November
election was pretty crucial - and certainly an
indication that there is at least democracy
