I agree entirely with you. Something is going radically wrong with Society. It seems the world is filled with mad people full of hate and an attitude. I don't know what's going wrong but I think TV programmes don't help. Take Big Brother for instance. I think I've watched about an hour of that since it started. I was disgusted with the language and behaviour, and I'm no prude. The tv is supposed to be there for entertainment. I'd rather watch paint dry. And why can't I watch a programme without all the unnecessary background music, which sometimes drowns out the voices? And why are the adverts so loud and mad? I think we're all slowly being 'driven round the bend'. You won't miss your TV if you don't watch it. When you go back to it the same c*** will be on, and you'll think you've never been away!

I don't watch TV. But it seems to me that if someone doesn't want to watch program X, they shouldn't watch it, and not try to ban it. Like the FCC wants to do.
And now adays there are so many options for what you watch, you could become a YouTube addict, or watch the shows you want, at the times you want at dynamic.go.abc.com.
You might be sick of violence, but not of sexuality/sensuality in television programs. But there are some who feel that, that is worst than violence. Others might feel religion has no place on TV. So, when you start banning one things, others will get banned too.

Seems to me your question is whether to face the truth or to run and hide?...
Bad news is real news...good news is nullified news.
The real benefit is knowing that we understand the reality of evil, while at the same time accepting that we are able to put it to one side until Monday, go through the motions until Friday, and happily repeating the exercise all over again, the following Monday!

I agree with you 100% - there is far too much violance shown in TV programmes, good grief, it's bad enough seeing it, in real life on the news, there's no wonder that there is so much violence and crime on our streets these days. !! xx
