You'll need to get together a porfolio (Cost varies depending on the amount of photos, sizes, etc.- Most agents will talk to you without one first, some will even pay to have yours done and then take it out of your earnings.
Be prepared for in some cases BRUTAL criticism but if you've got the confidence to go, you can handle it.
Good luck!

I have been a professional model for almost ten years; these are my suggestions: wear natural hair and make-up. Do not overdress. Scam agencies will ask for money upfront. Do not give them any money and do not let them talk you into doing some modeling "school". If they are interested, they will pay for your portfolio and cards upfront and will deduct the costs from your first paycheck. Before signing any contracts, make sure you went and saw several agencies and sign up with the one where you felt most comfortable with the bookers. Do not take it personal if they critisize you or even reject you; it has happend to every model at some point and time. Remember, modeling is not always as "great and easy" as it might seem. There are a lot of sacrifices and work that must be put into this business in order to succeed.

Just know that it should NEVER cost you money. Watch out for scams. Bring a parent or adult with you. Wear natural makeup, simple hair and simple clothing. Bring pictures if you would like. If an agency is really legit, they will never make you pay any money. If it's for a photoshoot or to get your pictures started... it should cost no more than a few hundred.

under no circumstances pay your organization or corporation for phtos. that may no longer how the industry works and is incredibly unlawful in lots of states. Any valid company won't make you pay for pictures till when you have signed a freelance with then. Then they might have a catalogue of five-10 pronounced community photographers so which you will touch at as quickly as, negotiate a value and pay the photographer this does not sound expert in any respect. be at liberty to PM me the call of this company and what state you're in and that i'll help you comprehend in the event that they are expert or no longer.
