i need to make a 4 by 12 sheet of fiberglass resin 1 inch thick for a thing im building aor school . but it keeps cracking and warping i dont know why.

You need to use casting resin.

Are you making a sheet of just resin, or are you using cloth, or matt, or woven roven? If it is just the resin I don't think you can keep it from warping. You might try it is layers, and use less hardening agent to retard the curing time which will reduce the heat generated and might limit the warping. It will stop the cracking.

It sounds like your using too much hardener in the mix. You are using the fiber aren't you? Try using less hardener and letting the drying time go a little longer.

It is waaaay too big. Makes smaller sheets and then bond them together and then patch the bonds with fiberglass.
