Tip from a Kiddie Kandid momma: If you have a fabulous printer at home, only buy a few from Kiddie Kandids because when you check out they ask you for your e-mail address. They will then forward a link of the babies pics to you where you can download them on your own computer and print them out for FREE!!!! (the reps of course will not tell you this trick)
We have been doing this since our little one was 10 days old. We have been going since then. We buy the best pic usually an 8x10 or a full page of wallets for family and then print out the rest of the faboulousness at home
Hope this helps!!!

Just make sure he or she had a good nap and is in a good mood before you take them for the photos, the worst thing is to have your baby all unhappy in the photo shoot. Because sometimes it takes a while to get the pose you want. And hopefully the baby isn't feeling sick because he will be cranky, which makes it hard to get a good picture.

put your child down for a nap before you go they will be much happier, if you child doesn't like strangers then let the person know and ask that they don't touch your child (which will upset them) just to let you know what to do and you will move them, bring your baby's favorite toy that makes them smile and buy all the pictures you can because they grow way to fast.

Make sure he/she's napped and fed and that you have an appointment so that you don't have to wait and wait...aside from that...4 months is an excellent time for photos...never again are they so agreeable and smiley...
We just took my little guy and we had a blast...

plan it around his nap, bring an extra change of clothes, bring her favorite toy and make sure you take your baby to place practiced in infant pictures. They will do a better job at making her smile.

take spare clothes and feed them heaps so they are content and happy and use a good photographer because some are crap and don't be sucked into buying every photo it becomes very expensive

Me and my boyfriend did this. Bring the babies favorite person. She loves me and her daddy but she is crazy for her paw-paw.
