Absolutely Not!
If the 11 year-old in question had a boy as a best friend, (nothing like a "real" boyfriend) I guess you could say "boyfriend", in order to refer to her friend, but certainly not meaning it in an intimate way.
When I was in 1st grade, I had a "boyfriend", which simply meant that he was my best friend. His parents and my parents were good friends, because of us kids, so our families used to do alot of things together (going to the park, movies, playing over each other's home, etc - all the while being completely supervised by our parents). Leonard was my "boyfriend" until 7th grade when he went to a Catholic school and I stayed in public school. We were still friends, but not the best friends aspect of the way it was in elementary school. After this, he was no longer referred to as my "boyfriend".
If you are meaning a "boyfriend" such as in what I've described, then I would term it okay. Otherwise the answer is: No.
Have a lovely rest of the evening.

I have 3 kids over that age and none have had a b/f or g/f yet. My DD is 12 and my sons are 14 and 16. It will happen when they are ready but I think 11 is a bit young really. They begin to show interest at that age and it is more likely a crush.

Just like the category in which you have asked this question, an eleven year old's concept of a relationship is based in mythology and folklore. It's highly unlikely they'd be having sex, depends on the age of the boyfriend, but at that age it's not going to be serious or anything like an adult's concept of a relationship.

No No No !!!
They know the love of their parent and the love of their family they don't need to know the love of a boyfriend at such a young age. They may be in a hurry to grow up but there will be plenty of time for the heart ache or a relationship. My suggestion would be to shelter them from that for as long as possible. Not to mention if you let them start early with boyfriends aren't you scared that they will start sexual relationships at an early age.

No. I was 13 when I first had a bf and not serious tho. You should enjoy your childhood while you still can, time can`t be turn back. Dont rush into growing up, or else time will burn you out and before you know it you're sick of this life. Enjoy life ~ properly.

I had a boyfriend in the third grade. I don't think they should be dating without a parent being around or anything like that.

It Depends on the type of boy he is. I mean, will he try something? Or is he respectful of others?
Also, at this stage in life, if he really likes her and you tell him no, it could psychologically damage him. So becareful, no pressure.
Oh, and at eleven years old, I personally, would let my daughter go on a date.
Ps. Try the hide behind the bushes trick. I've done it before, they fall for it every time, no matter how intellegent they are. Also, if its a movie their going to see, hide a few rows back. They'll never notice you. Trust me it's the best way to go. Let them go out and tag along stealthily. And your defense if you're caught, "I'm just worried about you, I don't want something to go wrong"
It's ok, I promise. And You'll feel good about your decision.
