These uni's got courses offered for translations, so if they have a supervisor for your area, then you can apply to them:
ANU (www.anu.edu.au)

One option is if English is your natural language and you want to translate you'd get a degree in the language you wish to translate. For example, a Ph.D. in Spanish literature or in Spanish if you want to be a Spanish translator.

Or, degrees in applied linguistics, translation studies, or communication would be sufficient.

Do a Google search to find this info out, I know for a fact there are programs in the United States.
