What did he do that got you angry?
Tie him up and put him to watch over and over again all the movies that you know he doesn't like.
Or be more subtile. He likes your long hair? Get a haircut. He likes it short, Make hair extensions. He hates red long nails,Get them done everyweek. Start cooking food he doesn't like.Speak a lot on the phone with your friends and ignore his repeated appeals to come to bed. While you're in bed, make sure you must answer the phone and laugh loud to your friend at the other end of the phone while he is trying to get your attention during you know what.
Drop toothpaste on his best clothes in the morning, and offer to clean them up,but don't try too hard, and of course, call him during the day at the job, especially during all important meetings.Just to ask him if he didn't forget to take the laundry from the cleaning or worse, if he knows where you put your socks or your earrings last night. And last , get a dog, if he can't stand animals and also force him to go to church on Sunday and insistently ask him for some more spending money, from which give right in front of him 100 $ to a begger on the street.
If this won't get him then he loves you.

For someone who wants to get rid of a guy...I think the first thing you need to get rid of is the title "my man"

Obviously the best way is to be honest and tell him face to face with a bit of dignity but I've heard these other tactics work as well:
Cheating, undergoing a permanent b i t c hy streak, becoming VERY VERY clingy, or telling him you've switched sides.
But seriously, if you're not happy, just tell him.

Start dating me!....lol....tell him you are no longer attracted to him. Mention that the Mear sight of him makes your skin crawl. You may want to also mention that you don't see a long term relationship happening with him. If you said that kind of stuff to me I'd be gone in a heart beat, good luck.

Arsenic comes to mind.
Oh ... you mean legally.
Can't you simply tell him that you are no longer interested
in him? That is - tell the truth!
If he doesn't accept that, and he continues to bother you,
then you call the police... get a temporary restraining
order, end up on Jerry Springer. Its the American way.
If you lie to him, and the lie gets back to him, he will
justifiably be pissed off at you and then HE'LL be thinking
of devious things to do to you.
Do you really want to be on the wrong side of morallity here?

It doesn't matter as long as you make it look like an accident. Maybe you could send him hiking at Mt. Hood. They've been having a lot of "mishaps" lately it seems.

Tell him you want out.... And if that doesn't work than just do what you have to do. At least you are giving him the option of doing it on his own good will.

Unless he's stalking you, just suck it up and let him down gently. Tell it to him straight. Don't use any of those tricks, and let him know why you're breaking up. Be honest and gentle, but firm. Don't let him talk you out of it.

One of my worst girlfriends cheated on me. Utterly killed the relationship. She'd smile in my face, and continue cheating on me! Do that. Or...just lie as if you were cheating. That should work too.
