if you are removing the hard drive,

power off, open the side panel. unscrew and unplug the old hard drive and plug in the new one using the wires you used on the other, first checking the master/slave is set to the same as the one you are replacing.

power on, then install your operating system if that is your only drive.

if your old drive is okay, you can use more than one, just set one as master and the other as slave. you can transfer data between them.
