I have a speical needs child who when she gets ill does regress developmentally. I also have a "normal" child and he is only 9 months old he never regresses during illness but then again he's not been sick other then the normal childhood illnesses

My daughter regresses during illness, but she has Rett Syndrome and regression is part of this condition.

Maybe for a day or so because they don't feel good. But, no, your baby's development should not regress. I would point it out to your pediatrician.

Maybe if it is a serious illness. If it is just a common cold, virus or somthing common, I would say no.
