I would let you keep my kids for like 2 hours tops! 12 is too young to be responsible for children. I was asked to babysit when I was 12 and I did. I was in no way shape or form ready to bebaysit! My mom ended up watching them and I got the money for it. Just enjoy being 12! Life is too short to worry about opening a business at age 12.

You can't do it within the confines of the law. You should try to expand your babysitting portfolio and attend a first aid course. These things will help you when you are old enough to run a day care.

i dont even think you can legally babysit yet, you can at 14 if you are certified and if you are sixteen you dont need to be certified. try mowing lawns cuz i doubt parents will let a 12 year old watch their kids. some 12 year olds still have babysitters

you can but you really have to know what you're doing.
treat the kids like royalty until the parents come pick em
up and get paid for your work. charge like ten bucks an hour.
if they screw you over and don't pay you for your work let the
kids roam free outside and let the world look after em.

HI there
Children in Daycare
The decision to place a child in a daycare center is difficult for many parents. The need for childcare is necessary for all parents that must go to work everyday. Many parents feel that children who attend daycare full time might not get the special love and attention that they need. Most daycare centers are equipped with a responsible staff and safe environment; however, the ratio of children to adults makes it difficult for each child to receive the attention they would get at home. Families that work full time must be comforted in the fact that their childcare center is taking care of their child’s needs, as well as encouraging their normal development. Placing a child in daycare three days a week or a few hours a day may benefit a child because of the interaction with other kids. Leaving a child at a daycare five days a week for the maximum amount of hours may not be a healthy situation for a young child. Daycare facilities that are not overused or abused can provide positive and trustworthy services and experiences for children.
Children that attend daycare everyday have advantages and disadvantages. A child that stays at home without other kids will typically not develop social skills as well as children in daycare. By developing social skills with playmates and caregivers, a child will gain a more outgoing personality. This will make it easier for him to meet and make friends. Children in a daycare environment will learn to be more independent and less reliant on their parents. By following a daily routine, children also learn to follow directions and play well with others. These qualities will give the kids an advantage in school educationally and socially. In addition to great social skills, the development of cognitive, speech, and motor skills are achieved through group activities. A disadvantage is that with exposure to many different children the kids in daycare often bring home unwanted habits and illnesses. A child needs special attention when he is sick. This is why a one on one caregiver is important at this time. A well-organized daycare will teach kids great social skills and encourage their development, but it can also cause unwanted language and illness for the parents to deal with at home.
When a child is left at a childcare facility for many hours a day, the child’s family time and values may be diminished. A daycare environment is in fact a positive one, but cannot replace the parent’s role. If a child spends everyday in the care of non-parent figures, his self-esteem may decrease. Children need the love and care from parents to fulfill the everyday lifecycle. If a parent is only spending three functional hours a day with his child, the child may feel neglected. This feeling of neglect could lead to negative personality traits. Some of these traits include being rebellious, depressed, or rambunctious. If a child develops these bad qualities, he may carry them throughout his life. The childcare center has staff that is trained to deal with misbehaved children. The problem is the children outnumber the staff. This means that a child will not have the one on one attention that he could receive at home, and he could be subject to the values of the caregiver. Many parents are afraid of an adult harming their child in some way. A positive factor for parents utilizing daycare centers is that other staff and parents are constantly observing the caregivers in the center. Attending a daycare for the maximum amount of hours a day might have a negative effect on children.
Children can learn good and bad habits from a daycare environment. Daycare centers should follow a daily routine. A daily itinerary is helpful for the kids because they know what to expect everyday and feel comfort in that. Many children have more discipline in a daycare than at home. This helps them know their limits and the consequences if they break the rules. If a center does not meet the parents’ expectations regarding disciplinary procedures, this can create a chaotic environment that is not good for children. When a child expects swim time as a reward for good behavior, he will strive to be well behaved. Scheduled nap times are required for kids until the age of six. Naps will improve their behavior and teach them about routine habits. A child that is not aware of daily activities may tend to be side tracked or unfocused. Following a daily schedule will help them learn a pattern that is helpful as they grow older. The rules and regulations that children must follow include picking up toys and cleaning up their areas. This is good practice and motivation for cleaning up at home. Daycare centers serve only healthy food at meal and snack time, which will allow parents to be worry free about their child’s diet. This will train the kids to eat healthy food instead of junk food. Daycare centers provide many benefits for children and families, however if a day care does not follow these guidelines it can be extremely harmful to a child.
A secondary childcare program is healthy for children if one does not overuse the services. Many people are against daycare use, because of rumors and stories heard on the news. If a parent chooses a well-researched facility there should be no problems. Daycare centers teach children many good qualities for their future. Bad habits are also picked up if the child has not been properly taught right from wrong by a parent. Social skills, personality traits, and behavior are all developed through childhood. The right influences on children are imperative at a daycare or in the home. The overall influence on a child should come from his parents. Keeping daycare use to a minimum is essential for children to develop properly. Good work.
HI AGAIN listen I think it's great for you to become a daycare giver but I think your too young because it is a BIG RESPONSIBILITY you will be taking care of other people's children . you can not do it alone it's a team work .
in my opinion I think you can babysit one child maybe a friend like on weekends I think you do go to school so u need to study school work . what you learn as you get older by babysitting counts on your resume so later on you can run your own daycare. if you took all the training and know all the emergencies that too can hlep u for your babysitting but daycare at your age it's a really big job .
also you have to find the laws in your state about daycare.
there has been so many unhappy things that have happend in daycare that parents are very caution where they admit thier chidren it's not just runing it but security of the kids aswell.
be safe be well god bless
