do u get the same results when u have viruse on ur pc? or the best is to format all ur pc, but this takes time???

The normal format will actually scan the hard disk for bad sectors, the quick one simply wipes out the files from the partition and does not check for bad sectors. See link below for the word from Microsoft.

If you don't have any physical problems with your hard drive, the quick format would be the fastest option and wouldn't matter if you had a virus on it previously or not. The allocation of that virus file would be wiped out. That doesn't mean the virus is not on the disk, but it's not addressable by the formatted drive. It's common knowledge that when a disk is formatted or a file is erased, the information on the disk is not removed. The file allocation table is changed and the start of the file name is changed to an unprintable character and removes the marker.

A Quick Format simply clears the disk directories, where a Full Format actually reformats the drive like it was new again.

favourite format will wipe the full force clean. a speedy format will basically erase the "itemizing" (normally called "document Allocation table") of the force, for that reason fooling your working equipment into thinking there is no longer something on the force. the suggestions can each so often nevertheless be retrieved after a speedy format.
