i have an account thats been paid off. but i am scared of hearing "you were delinquent at one time so we cant open you an account. im in nyc and am wondering if there any banks around that dont check your history with "checksystems"

Bank Of America........ i'm in ChexSystem and they gave me an account

All banks SHOULD check CheckSystems. Even if you had a charge off at one point, that shoudl show on the report. It will show as being resolved and the bank should have no problem opening an account for you. If, however, the report says you still have NSF activity, then all you would need to do is to go to that bank and have them give you a letter stating that you have paid that off.

I am in the check system too, but if you can find someone who can help you get an account at a credit union you can get around that. I did!

if you live in texas go to your nearest IBC, Laredo National Bank, and Security Service.
