Have you thought about paying a professional voice coach to give an unbiased opinion and maybe get some professional training?

Hey, I am a singer also and i somtimes have the same problem. What I do is just do my best. But other than that I use the help and support of my family to see if the song i chose was the correct song for my range and to tell me what i shoud or shoudn't do in my performance. After a performance there not my family anymore there more like critics. But i'm ok with that because it helps me get better and better each time.

If you want it enough it will happen, if you have talent. Just keep working. I know people who are just becoming successful now 15 years after they started out. Be true to yourself and try to make the music you hear in your head. Eventually you will find people who want to hear the same thing. Good luck to you. (Post a demo on Myspace so we can all hear it!!!)

Talent cannot be taught or learned. Go to American Idol and see if you have the chops, if not, settle for being a Weird Al Yankovich or get into something you are good at.

Some people were meant to be good singers and others are not. Sounds like you are one of the ones that is not. Try something else. Find a different hobby..
