why not? you learn from your mistakes, and im sure she would appreciate it if you told her about it rather than continue to embarass herself.

Correct her, but not in a way that would seriously offend her. Say to her that she is pronouncing the names wrong, and you may even get extra credit.

Not if you value your grade. Teachers don't appreciate being corrected; you'll just come off as a know-it-all. However, you could ask a question or make a comment, and then say the name correctly.

It is not wrong to correct a teacher.

It is wrong to do it in a way that undermines her authority in front of the class.

The BEST way to do it is privately after/before class one day in a way that acknowledges her authority, however, helps her to no longer undermines that by mispronouncing names. Putting it in the form of a questions (I always thought it was ...) is a very good way to put it.

(I always told my kids that I never minded being questioned or corrected, but I will not think well of them if they embarrass me in front of the class or put me on the spot.)

(That would drive me crazy!) You can try to correct her... but if you choose to, I would do it in a friendly conversation between the two of you rather than in front of the class. She might take your correcting her the wrong way. Hopefully, she'll listen when you do.

Don't come across as a know-it-all. Besides, there is the possibility that you may be wrong. If you point out the mispronunciations, I'd do it VERY tactfully.

If you want her to hate you for the rest of your school life, then knock yourself out. Otherwise, I'd let it go and enjoy having something to laugh about.
