i have the safety 1st walker... my daughter is little over 5 months old she is just under 2 ft tall.... she loves it.. the winnie the pooh pot that makes sounds... i hate winnie the pooh, but she loves it and its all about them...just make sure that your baby can hold her head up and support her self.. i have mine lowered to where she can touch the floor with her feet. so she is practicing trying to stand... i NEVER leave the room when she is in it.. i also like the fact that the toy shelf slide to the side that way i can put her favorite toys in the middle. good luck and god bless!

No I hate winnie the pooh. Read the instructions to the walker it should say the height for the child. I used a walker when my daughter wanting to walk but couldn't on her own. Most walkers are also adjustable.

I think most paediatricians recommend against walkers. They don't really accelerate mobility much and they've got far too high a rate of accidents and associated deformities (such as abnormal angular stresses on the developing legs). Coasting (where the child spontaneously eventually learns to hold on to objects to help their balance and walk along with them) is the best means of learning how to walk.
