What is the sense in paying for health insurance if those who are illegals and welfare programs are taken and treated just as I am?

It makes more sense to take the job , turn down the insurance and let the "taxpayers" give me a free ride.

You are absolutely correct!

My husband and I are senior citizens, both receiving Social Security Retirement Benefits, and do not pay into Medicare, Medicaid. We do not prescribe to Plan B, C, or D. We have the basic medical plan, which provides only for hospitalization: not doctor's care or prescription medicine. To be eligible for Plan B, which provides doctor's care, we would each have to pay $80 a month from our benefits. To enroll in a prescription plan, would possibly cost us another $150 or $200 a month each. What a rip off. The government isn't giving me anything!

Hospitals are required to admit us. Will they send us a bill for what Social Security benefits do not pay them? You bet your sweet bippie! Will I pay it? No. Will the hospital/doctor send my bill to collections? Yes, they will. Will I pay it? No.

My husband and I are almost 70 years old. We live in an apartment, own one car that is over 20 years old, and all the furniture in our apartment has been loaned to us by family. We have nothing of value.

Legislation, introduced by your legislators, has provided health care to illegal immigrants. Until legal Americans, those who are paying health insurance premiums, stand up and protest the government's ludicrous passing of laws that provide health benefits to illegal immigrants, the farce will continue.

You are right. Illegals should not receive those benefits. They should not be in the country in the first place.
