I have a new ipod and I wanted to put some TV shows that I have on DVD on it... they advertise it like it should work, but I can seem to get my computer to do it.

I have a brand new macbook pro. Does anyone have any suggestions, or am I stuck living without?

a million. you won't be able to do a similar with a DVD. 2. there is two variations of the iPod Video. there is the older version and the extra moderen version. The older version has a battery existence of roughly 2 or 3 days (in case you pay attention to it for 3 or 4 hours an afternoon) and the extra moderen one lasts for over 6 days (listening for 2 to 4 hours an afternoon). I noticeably propose the extra moderen iPod Video. i do no longer think of they even sell the previous one on the Apple keep besides.

DVDs are copyright protected. However, you can try:

1. Download Mac the Ripper: http://www.mactheripper.org/

2. Rip your DVD

3. Download VisualHub: http://www.techspansion.com/visualhub/

4. Take the ripped files Mac the Ripper made, import them into VisualHub, tell VisualHub to rip to iPod, and it will encode.

5. Import encoded file from VisualHub to iTunes. Then add to your iPod.

You need a ripper that turns it into a mpeg. I use handbreak. It's free and works on the mac.
