I've just started tracking my bbt and I got a fever right before I was supposed to ovulate. My temp dipped the day before I was supposed to ovulate and then it stayed up a bit (including and after the fever) but then it went down to normal again after a few days. I'm normally on a 37 day cycle with the longest ever beind 39 days and now I'm on day 43. So I'm wondering if it's possible that I ovulated even though my temp doesn't reflect it. That happens right?

Illness and fever often can delay or disrupt ovulation. The temperature shift is caused by the change in hormones that happens with ovulation, so it's really unlikely that you ovulated without a temperature shift.

If you've had a period, yes. Your ovulation occurs, then about (for me) two days later I menstruate.
