I have a 10 month old who weighs 20 pounds. I started using Huggies Overnites diapers when he started sleeping through the night since he'd wake up soaked. They've always worked until this new pack I just bought and he's been soaked by 6 am (from 7 pm). The diaper size says it goes to 37 lbs! Any ideas to help us??

He wears a size 3 during the day, but at night I have him in a size 4 Overnite diaper and the weight range for the diaper we use at night is 22-37 lbs.

There is a WONDERFUL product called Diaper Doublers. You will find it on the diaper aisle of most stores - I know Walmart and Publix carry them. A pack will only cost about $4-$5 and what they are are pads to put inside a diaper (kind of look like large long maxi feminine napkins, but without the adhesive!) You just put one in the diaper at night, and it really does help give the diaper the extra backup it needs.

I have also put a Huggies Pull Up on my little guy even when he wasn't old enough for them - I found it was more absorbant, AND he slept really well because I think they were more stretchy and comfortable.

I had the same problem... at wal-mart, they have rubber pants that fit over the diaper. They are not good for use during the day, only at night because they don't allow the skin to breathe. It wont ve long until he's back to normal. I think also that the diapers you're using are too big, and are not specifically designed for him. Try a size 4 diaper, my son (7 months) is 22 pounds and he is in a size four. Just to let you know, huggies suck! LOL. I much prefer the wal-mart brand diapert. Once I switched to their brand(parents choice) I never had a leakage problem again.

Try moving up in size. The higher the size, the higher the absorbency. Or try a different brand. For instance, my 6 month old constantly wets through Pampers Baby-Dri at night, but not Huggies

My son had the same problem. I found that if I switched brands it helped. But be careful-if your baby has sensitive skin changing to often can cause very bad irritation (I know from first hand experience). Pampers worked the best for us. I never tried an overnite brand (I actually have never seen them), but regular Pampers seem to have some kind of water-proof cloth covering that keeps everything inside. Good Luck! :)

Go back to normal diapers... try a different brand. I have always found Huggies to be weak in the leakage protection.

You may have to change him during the night. It's not good for him to be in a wet diaper that long. Maybe you should switch to a different diaper for nighttime.

I guess it depends on the child, b/c everyone is saying one brand works for them but its a brand that dont work for another....I personally just make sure i change my lil man right before he goes to bed, 7pm-6am is a long time to be in one diaper, if you get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night change your child or if you go to bed many hours after your child change him then
