If I were the Raiders, I would pick Quinn. I think he has played against better competition in college than Russell.

Brady Quinn is the best QB right now and could make an immediate impact. Obviously Russell has unbelievable potential, he's so big and strong and has one of the best arms I've seen. My opinion though is Russell is a lot of hype, I think everyone has just fallen in love with his potential. If you watched him throughout college you would see he struggled in decision making and forced way too many throws. He was a guy that was on one of the most talented teams in the NCAA and if he was that great how was he not talked about earlier or a Heismann candidate? That being said he could be great eventually, think Daunte Culpepper minus the knee trouble. Overall if you need a QB right now Quinn is better, if you need a QB of the future Russell has more potential

Have to go with Russell. He has by far the stronger arm of the two of them. He is a fast thinker on his feet and can run and scramble with the best of them. Quinn on the other hand, isn't quite as mobile and needs more time in the pocket to pass. Russell is rated a top 5 pick and will probably be the first overall pick (Oakland), while Quinn isn't slated to be drafted until after the 20th pick.

Russell has the most upside, which counts for a lot in the NFL. Brady Quinn will slip to the late 1st round.

alright, people saying russel is better because he's black and therefore faster/ scrambler are prejudiced morons. look at the succesful scrambling quarterbacks.

steve young. i'm pretty damn sure he's not black. he's about as unblack as you can get. hell, he's mormon. yet this completely unblack qb was succesful with his feet, and definitly not slow, even when he was old.

john elway. this guy doesn't appear to have a whole lot of the midnight pigment in his skin either.

see what i mean? that is a prejudice that people assimalate because of qbs like vick. running speed doesn't matter near as much as the ability to make the defense worry about your arm. thats why vick is a one dimensional useless player who will be serving me in mcdonalds in 2 years.

and anyone who watches russell knows that he isn't a scrambler, which makes him unique. he is massive and fast, but he rarely scrambles. he uses his speed to avoid the rush while watching to recievers down field.

now that i'm done ranting, russell has better natural weapons and more potential, but quinn will assimilate quicker into the nfl style game. russell is a better draft, but not because he happens to be black.
you idiots sound like delany. you must all be really fast.

Jamarcus Russell. He is a sweet passer, and he is a massive runner who can punish defenders. All the tools to succeed in the NFL. Plus, can anybody see pretty boy Brady Quinn playing for the Raiders (despite the fact that their sucking has hurt the bad@$$ image). And I think we all know jow Quinn plays against good defenses, he sucks. Russell is hands down the better pick.

Alot of people seem to think russell is going to be the better of the two in the pros becasue of one game...i don't think people realize how much russell is the product of the system and all the best quaterbacks in the league are pocket passers Quinn was constant thorughout his whole college car. and everybody said he can't win the big game well manning couldn't either for awhile but i think everybody would take him over michel vick

its russell...he's a big, strong, durable guy with a laser arm and good athletic ability...he is a physical specimen for sure, but he does need to improve his decision making vastly

as for quinn, he's more of a pure pocket passer who is a better decision maker, but he is not as accurate or strong-armed as russell, and also has a reputation for not being able to win the big game...that said, he may be ready to play quicker, since charlie weis was an nfl guy and i believe he probably got quinn prepared for the nfl adequately

For the NFL, its Quinn...The Sugar Bowl showed that in college, it was Russell...but the NFL is far different than college...
