Other groups of people killed by the Nazis were Romanies (Gypsies) who were systematically killed and therefore victim of genocide like the Jews, POWs, esp. those from the Soviet Union, forced laborers esp. from East Europe, political opponents, civilians in occupied countries who were killed as "retaliation" for Germans killed by partisans, handicapped people, homosexuals, Jehova's Witnesses and the Polish "intelligentsia" (I am not sure if that is a normal English word, I mean people with a high education, because the Nazis wanted to enslave the Poles). Many more civilians esp. in the Soviet Union starved to death because of the German invasion, during the German siege of Leningrad alone a million people died.

Actually, I believe that it was 9 million people total who were killed, and the 3 million non-Jews of that figure were homosexuals, the physically and mentally handicapped, Jehovah Witnesses, political radicals, and POWs.
