I have browsed the web for domestic flights in India, but all give 2 options, 1 if you are Indian, and another if you are a foreigner. However the difference is considerabley large and deffinately determines whether to make the trip. Does anybody know of the best way to the flight in Rupees? Would I have to book once I get to India? I have noticed some airlines that state they dont diffrentiate between nationals and foreigners, but in small print say they do not accept credit cards issued outside of India for online booking. How nice.. please help ...

Yes book your travel after reaching India thats the best option. Air Deccan is the cheapest airline. Check out www.airdeccan.net for fares. choose the timing, flight etc and go to an agent and book the flight.

I came to know about this different fare system when a friend of mine from France had come to India and faced the same problem. But if i remember correctly, he was able to get cheap fares in Spicejet and Deccan Airways and even Kingfisher without hassles and paid by card and not cash i.e. he had his booking done on the web from France. Unless they have changed the system within half a year, you should be able to do the same.

Good luck.
