First off it all depends on your age and what you and your doctor decide may be he best option for you. There are many other options besides the pill such as the IUD, patch, female/male condoms, sponge and a few others. Depo Provera is not intended for long term use and is often used in enometriosis therapy. This birth control method has also been known to cause bone density degeneration so I would advise a major vitamin supplement (Calcium 1000-1500mg daily). A positive side effect for most females is the absence of a your period. This of course varies with every female. Hope this helps!!

I was on the pill for 13 years.. but then I had problems with blood pressure. .. so my dr put me on the deprovera shot.. I really like it to be honest.. I go to see her every 12 weeks to get an injection and that is basically it.. Everyone is different as far as side effects go..I do not have any periods at all now.. so that is kinda a good thing.. however some women complain that they never stop bleeding.. the only way to find out if it is good for you.. is to actually try it.

be careful you dont start putting on weight my g/f did and put on lots then when she stopped the weight disappeared, im sure this shot has a link with cows but i cant remember now, either it was discovered using them or its got a sister drug that used on them. im not joking either.
