He was eating it before in his bottles, only bc he wasnt getting enough to eat. He was drinking bottle after botte. He was only a month then... But hasn't been on it since he was 2 1/2 months.

Ya know, I stared mixing my son's cereal with 1/2 whole milk and 1/2 water when he was 4 months old. The doctor said it was fine and it may actually help him become used to the milk taste when it was time to transition from bottle to cup and formula to milk. And it worked! He weaned himself off of the bottle at 10 months and never took real milk from the bottle, just straight from his sippy. Most people (and doctors) tell you not to give whole milk so early, but as long as you supplement with a multi-vitamin, your son should be fine. (If he doesn't have known milk allergies and provided that they don't run in you family.
As for the amount, my son eats about 6 1/2 ounces in the mornings, along with 3-6 oz of a fruit. Seems like a lot, but it gives him a good dose of grains and he loves it. Good Luck!

You will want to start with about 2 tablespoons of cereal, then mix it with breastmilk, formula or water to the desired consistency.

Just mix a couple ounces in a bowl and if he eats it all and acts like he wants more go ahead a mix a little bit more.

Just start with like a few tbsp. If you need to add more, then add more.
